I was never meant to be a bodybuilder. At 20, I was working long hours in hospitality, partying every weekend, drifting through life. Then my coach introduced me to bodybuilding and I set a crazy dream: one day I’d be Mr. New Zealand.
Life hit me hard. I tore my knee, ruptured my bicep, and broke my ankle. The doctor told me I’d never move the same again. For months, my leg was locked straight, depression set in, and my dream felt gone.
But one question changed everything: “When are you coming back?”
I fought through rehab, rebuilt myself, and came back to win Mr. New Zealand & earn my IFBB Pro Card. But my real transformation came when my son was born. I realised so many dads were burning out, sacrificing their health, and missing the moments that matter most.
